A/N: Second part yo! finally it's finished...*sighs* [info]shuling89</lj> I hope you enjoy your bday and Xmas and New year present!!! LOL

Kame sat by his bed and looked outside his window. Another 3 months passed by but the image of Yamapi’s face still couldn’t leave his mind. He tried to forget him, tried to hate him, after all hating the person that had hit him with a car had been a part of his life for the past 7 years. So how hard could it be to just keep on hating him?

It was hard. It was so damn hard and Kame didn’t know why instead of loathing that face he had planted in his mind ever since he was blind, he ended up missing it. It was only a second before the car hit him, and he could hate him so easily for 7 years. But how come after he saw that face again, only a bit longer this time, he couldn’t make himself hating it again? Why was it so hard?

“Kazuya…” Mrs. Kamenashi sat down beside his son, hand rubbing his back in a soothing manner. “You haven’t touched your lunch dear.”

“I’m not hungry mom.” Kame replied, smiling.

“But you haven’t eaten since this morning.” Mrs. Kamenashi looked at Kame’s eyes, filled with concern.

“But I’m not hungry yet mom, maybe later.”

Mrs. Kamenashi sighed. “Fine, but promise me you will eat later.” She said before getting up and left her son alone.

---

“Hey.” Jin greeted his best friend who was sitting inside their dressing room, and putting on his racing shoes.

“What’s with the nice greeting?” Yamapi asked in an almost accusing tone. “Are you up for something?”

“Pi that’s mean~~” Jin whined and Yamapi jumped back as he suddenly felt Jin was hugging him.

“What the-…Bakanishi get off of me!”

“Hey I’m just giving you a good luck hug. You need it!” Jin pouted.

“I don’t need luck. It is you who needs it.” Yamapi laughed. “You were losing the race 3 times in a row.”

Jin snorted. “I was just being nice to you.”

“Right.” Pi snorted back.

“Anyway, good luck, seriously. Hokkaido is known for its dangerous track.” Jin said in a more serious manner.

Yamapi nodded and smiled. “You too.”

---

Kame always kept track of Yamapi’s performance on every race. He never admitted but he always listened to the TV every time his brother was watching the race. Sometimes Kame wondered if his brother really did turn up the volume of the TV purposely, loud enough for Kame to listen from his room. And Kouji always accidentally left the newspaper near Kame, with the sport section on top.

Just like today, Kame was sitting on his room, but he could hear the TV sound from the living room. Kame knew that the race had started. He listened carefully how the commentator informed him every second about the race.

Yamashita has passed Kawaguchi and now he is on the third position. It is amazing how Yamashita never fast enough in the qualification and never ends up in the poll position, but he always manages to be in the podium.

 Kame smiled at the information.

Akanishi is still on the lead, leaving Awaji and his team mate far behind. 3 more laps to go and this is the time when usually miracle happens and Yamashita will pass his team mate and eventually winning the race. Will today’s race be same for Yamashita?

Kame walked closer to the door and sat himself down on the floor, head resting on the wooden door, so he would hear clearer.

Yamashita is tailing on Awaji, they are so close to each other. He tried to pass him from outside, but apparently Awaji wouldn’t let him. Oh this is so interesting! Such an intense scene!

Kame hated the time like this. He would get carried away by the tension and his heart would beat so fast in anticipation.

Oh there’s the chicane, will Yamashita try to pas Awaji in this chicane? He will! He took the inside, but the chicane is sharp! Yamashita is crazy if he wants to pass Awaji from the inside!

Kame didn’t know what was going on. What was the commentator talking about? What sharp chicane? How Kame wish he could watch the race now and see for himself what Yamapi was trying to do.

Yamashita took the inner side, oh but his bike was too close to Awaj’si. It would be dangerous for them if their bike clashed to each other!

What the hell is going on?

Oh My God! Awaji couldn’t control his bike! His bike clashed to Yamashita’s! Abunai!!!

Kame abruptly stood up and opened his door to run quickly to the living room. But as he reached the living room, he could see his brother standing with his eyes widened in shock and his mouth gaping.

“Kouji what’s going on?” Kame asked and Kouji didn’t answer. Instead, he lifted his hand and pointed to the TV screen.

Yamashita’s and Awaji’s bike crashed and dragged the two racers to about 5 meters away from the track and on to the sand. Both teams run to save their racer, but there’s no sign of both of the racer standing up.

“Pi…”

One of them are standing! It’s Awaji! He stood up with difficulty and his team quickly evacuates him. But how about Yamashita? There’s no sign of Yamashita moving.

“Pi please…get up...”

Yamashita’s team is trying to pull him, but he is trapped under his bike. Oh no! Is that a fire?

“No…”

Where’s the extinguisher? Somebody needs to put off the fire before it explodes!

Kame couldn’t see this.

It exploded! Yamashita’s bike exploded and he is still there! Oh my God, Yamashita’s bike is now on fire!

“Pi!” Kame screamed at the TV and dropped himself in front of it. But the TV refused to inform further as suddenly the live broadcast was replaced by a commercial instead. Disappointed, Kame quickly got up and ran to the door.

“Where are you going?” Kouji asked as Kame almost reached the door.

“Where do you think?”

“But the race is in Hokkaido Kame.” Kouji reminded.

“Damn!” Kame cursed. “I forgot.” Kame didn’t know what to do now, but he knew he jus had to see Pi. He had to make sure Pi is alright. He NEEDED to see Pi now. He didn’t care if Pi is in Hokkaido or even in China, it didn’t matter to him. He had to go.

“Where are you going now?” Kaouji asked again as Kame continued to put on his shoes.

“Hokkaido.” Kame answered simply.

----

The team had managed to put off the fire that was burning Yamapi’s bike along with the driver. They carefully lifted the bike and tried to see any sign of Pi breathing and alive. They quickly took him to the ambulance.

Jin who was almost winning the race stopped his bike in the middle of the race and ran to his friend. “Pi!”

Their manager had told him to step aside and let them took care of Yamapi. But Jin insisted on going with the ambulance to the hospital. He didn’t care about the race anymore. His friend’s life was on the line.

This was worst than the accident 6 months ago.

---

Kame got off from the taxi in a hurry, not giving the chance for the driver to give him his change. He ran to the ticket counter and bought himself a flight to Hokkaido. He was lucky the next flight was less in an hour.

---

Jin waited anxiously outside the operation room. The doctor identified Yamapi’s condition to be second degree burnt injury. He was lucky he still had his racing costume and helmet that protected him from the fire. Even so, Yamapi was still badly injured and the doctor needed to perform an immediate surgery to safe his life.

After 2 hours of surgery, finally the door opened and Jin hurriedly ran to the man in a blue uniform, standing by the door. “How is he?”

“Yamashita-san is okay now. He is still unconscious and we will move him to his room. You can see him there.” The doctor explained.

---

It was the longest 1 hour flight for Kame and as soon as his plane landed and the flight attendant allowed him to board off the plane, he wasted no time and ran as fast as he can to the exit.

He called the first taxi he saw and asked the driver to speed up to the hospital. But when the driver asked back which hospital, he paused. He didn’t know which hospital Yamapi was brought to. So he called his brother and asked, but his brother also didn’t know. Kouji suggested that Kame searched for the nearest hospital from the circuit, he was sure their team wouldn’t take Yamapi too far from the circuit. And so Kame asked the taxi driver to go to the nearest hospital from the circuit.

A few minutes later, he arrived at the said hospital, and Kame quickly ran to the emergency room, hoping to find any sign of Yamapi being taken there. But he was not there. When he asked the nurse, she said that a few hours ago a racer who had an accident was brought there but he was now in the west wing of the hospital.

Kame bowed in grateful for the information to the nurse before he ran to the west wing and searched for Yamapi’s room.

As he arrived there, from the end of the hallway he could see some people with racer uniform was standing in front of a room. Yamapi should be there. He walked slowly, approaching the group of men as he calmed himself down. He was nervous. Did Yamapi survive?

As he was closer to them, one of the men stopped him and said that he was not allowed to go any further.

“But I need to see Yamapi. I’m his friend!” He said, trying to convince the other man.

“I’m sorry. No one is allowed to see him.”

“But I must see him!” Kame insisted.

“Kame?” A familiar voice interrupted the arguing between the two men.

“Jin?” Kame recognized the voice. “Is that you?”

“Kame, you can see?” A man approached him.

“Jin. Is that really you?” He asked again and the other man nodded. “Jin, I’m glad to see you! I need to see Pi!”

Jin nodded to the other man who was holding Kame’s hand, trying to prevent him from walking any further. “It’s okay Yamada, let him go.”

“Jin, how is he?” Kame asked as soon as Yamada let go of his hand.

“He is still unconscious. He was burnt pretty badly.” Jin informed. He guided Kame to the room in front of them and when the door opened, Kame’s heart clenched in pain.

Yamapi was lying helpless on the hospital bed, with bandages wrapped around his body.

“Go ahead. I think he’s been waiting for you.” Jin said, Pushing Kame lightly on the back to go inside the room.

Kame walked slowly as the door closed behind him. He stopped next to Pi’s bed and tears started rolling down from his eyes, seeing the heart breaking scene before him.

“Pi…”

Kame reached out his hand and touched one of Yamapi’s hands. The bandage that was covering them prevented him from feeling the warmth of Yamapi’s skin.

“Pi….please wake up…” Kame whispered. He kneeled down by the bed and buried his head into Yamapi’s hand.

---

“The doctor said that he was injured pretty badly, especially on his face. The fabric of the helmet somehow melted and glued to his face because of the extreme heat. He might have to undergo several more surgery to have his face back like before.” Jin slowly explained to Kame about his best friend’s condition as the two men sat in the cafeteria of the hospital. “I’m glad you decided to come Kame. He really needs you now.”

Kame nodded, sipping his coffee weakly as if he had no more strength left.

“Look Kame, it was all my fault. Don’t blame Pi. I was the one who brought Yamapi that night clubbing and drinking. I was the one who asked him to steal his father’s car. I was the one who told him to drive eventhough I knew he was drunk. I was the one who told him, when we had hit you, that he only hit-“

“A cat?” Kame cut Jin.

“Y-you knew?”

Kame laughed bitterly. “Yeah, wouldn’t it be better if he indeed hit a cat?”

“Kame…”

“It’s okay Jin. Even though it IS your fault, there’s nothing you can do to make it undone.”

“I’m really sorry Kame…”

---

The team had left Kame and Jin alone at the hospital that night, they decided to go home and would come back the next moning. Kame knew Jin was tired, so he  told him to sleep and Kame would stay awake and be with Yamapi incase the racer wake up.

“Pi…” Kame whispered, smiling as he touched the bandage that was covering Yamapi’s face. “I missed you…” He continued. “I missed your face.”

Kame grabbed a chair and sat himself next to the bed. He began to sing the song that he sang the day he met Yamapi on the rooftop, the song that Yamapi claimed to be his favorite song.

“You have a beautiful voice. I’ve told you, you should become a singer.” Kame was surprised as he heard the voice.

“Pi? You’re awake?”

Yamapi slowly opened his eyes. Smiling as he saw Kame sitting next to him. “You are really here. I thought I was dreaming that song.”

Kame smiled genuinely to him. “Yes, I’m here.”

“Does that mean you forgive me?” Pi asked with a hoarse voice due to the lack of liquid on his throat.

“I don’t know. But I missed your face.” Kame answered honestly.

That was enough for Yamapi. Kame didn’t have to forgive him, well he wanted him to, but maybe as the time goes by Kame would be able to forgive him. But for now, seeing Kame smiling next to him and said that he had missed him, was enough for Yamapi.

---

The doctor ran some test on Yamapi as soon as Kame informed the medical team that Yamapi had woken up.

“Yamashita-san, you seemed to be fine. Your vital organ is showing a good improvement from the surgery and I’m sure there is nothing to worry about.” The doctor informed him. “All we have to worry about is how to get your handsome face back,” He continued with a smile. “But I’m sure several surgeries will do.” He added.

“That won’t be necessary.” Yamapi said, surprising everyone in the room including Kame.

“What do you mean Pi?” Jin asked in surprise.

Yamapi just smiled, “I don’t want to get my face back. Let them be.”

“But why?” Jin asked again and Yamapi didn’t answer. He just smiled and looked to Kame’s direction. Kame confused at first, but it didn’t take long for him to understand the reason behind Yamapi’s decision.

“Ano, sensei…can you leave us alone?” Kame asked the doctor and turned his head to Jin as well, asking him to do the same. They all nodded and soon left Kame alone with Yamapi.

“Pi…” Kame began, “Why are you doing this?” he asked in concern.

“It is my face that you hated to see, my face that will always remind you about that accident. So I don’t want it anymore. Let these scars erase that face, and I hope they will erase your pain too.” Pi reasoned. Hoping Kame would understand, and maybe he would slowly begin to forgive him and forget everything that had ever happened.

“Pi you’re an idiot!” Kame said, upset to Yamapi’s ridiculous thinking. “I want to see your face!”

“But Kame…”

“No you silly! What makes you think by covering your face with scars could make me forget that accident?”

Kame was right. That accident had caused too much pain for Kame. It could never go away that easily. Did that mean that Kame would never forgive him?

“I don’t want to forget it.” Kame said which made Yamapi lost his hope on ever getting forgiveness from him.

But as Kame slowly approached him and lifted his chin so he was now looking straightly to Kame’s eyes, those beautiful eyes that once he had caused to be blind, his insecurity vanished.

“I don’t want to forget that accident, and I don’t want to forget your face. That accident was the one that had brought us to meet each other and your face…” Kame paused to caress the bandage on Pi’s face. “…this face is the one I want to see everyday, for the rest of my life.” He smiled before capturing Pi’s lips for a kiss.

It only began with a chaste kiss as Kame wanted to clear Pi’s doubts away, but as he wanted to pulled back and break the kiss, Yamapi pulled him closer and seized his lips again for a more passionate kiss. Kame smiled and gladly accepted Pi’s request on letting his tongue tasted the cavern of Kame’s mouth.

“I can’t believe I just kissed a mummy.” Kame said teasingly as they broke the kiss.

“Do you prefer kissing a monster? I can always ask the doctor to take these bandages off.” Yamapi teased back.

Kame smiled and kissed Yamapi again as an answer. He didn’t care about the past anymore. It was true that the last sight he saw before he was blind was Pi’s face. The face he once hated for 7 years. But now that face had become the first sight he saw when he had retrieved his vision back, and he wished it would be the sight he always sees in the morning when he woke up, and the last sight he sees in the night before he sleeps.
