Chapter 16 part 1

“What is this?” Jin asked

“It is the last roll of Kame’s diary. I found them at the temple where Kame decided to spend the rest of his life at” Kamenashi explained. He unrolled the paper and pointed at a specific part.

Jin looked at the paper roll in his hand. He read the part where the man in front of him pointed at, the man who he had believed as the reincarnation of his lover.

“It…it can’t be” Jin weakly said, he couldn’t believe it. The paper said that Kame died as a holly monk. And Jin knew a holly monk cannot be reincarnated. So this means that the person who was standing in front of him was not Kame, his lover.

“I’m sorry Jin…I’m not Kame,” I wish I am.

But he didn’t hear any respond from Jin. Kame was afraid. He was waiting for Jin to say something, but he didn’t. The other man just stand there still, eyes on the paper and didn’t say a word.

And suddenly the ground started moving again.

Jin slowly lifted up his face and Kamenashi could see the same eyes that he once afraid of. “Do you have any idea how long I have waited for you Kame! How long I have waited for this moment, the moment where we could see each other again. And now you’re telling me that you are not Kame? That my Kame has left me alone? That he didn’t keep his promise to be together with me again?!”

Jin lifted his hand to cupped the younger’s face and when Kamenashi thought that he would kiss him again, the hand moved lower to his neck and Jin started strangling him

“No Jin! S-stop it” Kamenashi screamed when he felt Jin was deliberately strangling him. “J-Jin…please” he pleaded while at the same time trying so hard to breath. His eyes are getting blurry again and he was starting to feel dizzy.

But Jin didn’t stop. In fact the grip was getting stronger.

But when Kamenashi was about to give up, when he was ready for the worst, suddenly Jin stopped. The ground has stopped moving, and the hands that were choking him earlier were loosening. Kamenashi coughed, trying to get as much of air as possible. He didn’t know what make Jin stopped but whatever it is he as glad that Jin stopped trying to kill him.

He looked at the older man in front of him, wondering what make him stop and he saw something strange on Jin’s eyes. He was silence and he was looking at somewhere else.

“Kame?” he heard Jin whispered but his eyes were not at him. “Kame is that you?” Jin said again.

Kamenashi was confused. Who was Jin talking to? He was about to ask him when suddenly Jin was saying something again.

 “I see….I understand now” Jin nodded and smiled. He turns his attention back to the confusing young boy next to him.

“I believe you now” He said.

“W-what?” Kamenashi was surely confused now.

“Kame has returned to me” Jin answered, still smiling to him and the eyes were back to the friendly pair of eyes again. “The real Kame” he continued.

“Huh?” Kamenashi still didn’t understand what Jin was talking about.

Jin smiled and pointed to an empty space “He’s there.”

Kamenashi frowned in confusion but seeing Jin’s smile he knew that Kame has returned. He was back to take Jin with him.

“He said he’s been waiting for me. He wants me to follow him,” Jin explained again. “But not before I apologize to you.”  He continued, pouting like a small boy. He turn his head to face Kamenashi properly bore saying, “I’m sorry Kame,” he said sincerely “I mean Kazuya…that is your name right?” Jin asked, smiling.

Kamenashi nodded.

“Well I better go now, Kame is waiting for me” Jin said, smiling and leaning to whisper “I was hoping you are my Kame though” Kamenashi could feel the other smirking while saying that.

“Ouch!” Jin protested at something Kamenashi couldn’t understand and he was rubbing his head as if in pain. “I was just joking Kame!” Jin pouted. It’s funny to see one second the young lord could be a scary as a devil and the next second he’s as cute as a child

Kamenashi finally understand what was going on now. And he was glad that Kame showed himself and come to save him. Now he believed that the two lover will have their happy ending. He nodded, smiling as a respond.

“Bye Kazuya…” Jin said again before finally walking to where he believe Kame was. Kamenashi watched as Jin’s figure slowly disappeared.

“I hope you guys are happy.” He wished as Jin’s figure completely disappeared

“Finally you are back!” Kamenashi was welcomed by a very worried Ueda. “I though I’m going to have to call the rescue team again.”

“How long have I been away?” Kamenashi asked. He knew he was only gone for a couple of hours, but from his past experience other people would feel that he has been gone for days.

“Almost two days,” Ueda answered.

“Well, I’m here now. Let’s go home!”

“So how was it?” Ueda asked when the two was walking their way out from the cave.

Kamenashi explained everything that has happened inside the cave. Ueda was surprised when he told him that the real Kame showed up. Kamenashi didn’t tell him that Jin was trying to strangle him to death. He didn’t want his best friend to be worried “So now everything is okay.” He said in conclusion.

Ueda sighed in relief but he knew that deep down in his best friend’s heart, Kamenashi was sad.

“Are you disappointed?”

“What do you mean?”

“Well, I think you are starting to like this zombie lord.” Ueda chuckled.

“He’s not a zombie!” Kamenashi protested.

“Well he’s dead, and he came back to live…what do you call that?”

“Whatever!”

Ueda chuckled again at his friend’s reply. “Don’t worry, we’ll find you a boyfriend!”

“I don’t need a boyfriend!” Kamenashi protested again but Ueda kept on teasing him.

But suddenly Ueda’s phone was ringing, and Kamenashi felt he was saved by the bell.

“It’s Ryo!” Ueda said excitedly as he looked at the screen. “Moshi-moshi Ryo!”

 “Hey babe!” Ryo replied from the other line.

“Ryo! I missed you so much!”

“I missed you too!”

“Where are you now? Are you back in Japan?”

“Yup! I’m in Tokyo now. I went to your apartment to surprise you but you weren’t there”

Ueda could hear the younger one pouted. “I’m sorry, but the research was expanded. We have some things to take care of,” Ueda said, looking at Kamenashi who was just rolling his eyes in respond as if to say ‘you were the one who wanted to come along’

“But it’s all done now. I’m going back to Tokyo tomorrow morning” Ueda continued.

“Good! Cause I can’t stand one more night without you.”

Ueda blushed at his boyfriend’s word and Kamenashi couldn’t help but to feel jealous at whatever Ryo said to Ueda. He wished he have someone who loves him just like Ryo loves Ueda.

“Okay, wait for me okay?”

“Will definitely do!”

Ueda smiled, he couldn’t wait to meet Ryo again.

 “Hey one more thing” Ryo said just when Ueda was about to hang up.

“Yea?”

“I met my childhood friend in LA. It has been a long time since we saw each other. He’s visiting Japan now and he’s staying with me. I’ll introduce him to you later.”

“Oh. Ok! Is he cute?”

“Hime!”

Ueda chuckled. “I was just asking, if he’s cute I’m thinking of introducing him to Kame.” Kamenashi frowned upon hearing the mention of his name.

“Kame? You mean Kamenashi?”

“Yup!”

“Stop calling me Kame!” Kamenashi protested.

“But it suits you!” Ueda reasoned but was replied by a smack on his head “ouch!”

“What’s going on?” Ryo wondered what was happening on the other line

 “Sorry, Kame was just being excited” another smack “Tatchan!”

“Okay. I’ll introduce him to Kame too. See you soon princess!”

“See you. I love you”

“I love you too” Ryo replied before he ended his call.

Ueda closed his phone with a wide grin spread on his face. “I know a way to make you forget that zombie lord.”

I told you I don’t want to come!” Kamenashi protested when Ueda dragged him out from his room to meet his boyfriend.

“But Kame. It’s better than just locking yourself in your room and moping over that zombie lord!” Ueda reasoned.

“I was not moping over Jin, I was studying! And stop calling me Kame!” Kame protested again.

“You ARE moping and I told you the name suits you!”

Kame was about to protest again when he realized that they have reach the restaurant where Ryo said he would meet them.

“We’re here” Ueda said before opening the door “Let’s go! There’s Ryo!” Ueda was beaming happily and run to where his boyfriend was. “Ryo!” he said before hugging the younger man

 “Hime I know you miss the sexy body of mine, but I need to breath” Ryo said exaggerating when he obviously like hugging his princess.

Ueda reluctantly let go of his hug, “But I missed you” he pouted and Ryo couldn’t help but to chuckle at his boyfriend cuteness. He leaned down to give him a kiss which was responded happily by Ueda.

“Ehemm!” Kamenashi coughed.

Ueda blushed realizing that they were just having a PDA in front of his friend, and the rest of the people in the restaurant for that matter. “Sorry Kame.” He murmured.

“Hi Kamenashi!” Ryo greeted.

“Hi Ryo!” Kamenashi greeted back.

“So where’s your friend?” Ueda asked when he realized that Ryo was alone.

“Oh he’s in the toilet. He’ll be back soon” Ryo explained. “Oh there he is!” He said as he saw someone walking towards their direction.

“Everyone, this is my best friend from LA.” Ryo introduced the man who was just arrived at their table.

Both Kamenashi and Ueda eyes widened in shock when they see man whom Ryo introduced as his friend.

My biggest apology to all of you who were waiting for this fic. I know I have my ups and downs but hey! I finally finished this one *applauses for self*

As you all know I was so busy last year preparing my uni entry exam. N now I have managed to be in Japan and stalk the boys, so as I promised, I finished this thing…*sighs in relief* and just in time to celebrate our dear AKAME anniversary! So happy anniversary boys!
